This year was better organised than ever.
No room for getting lost. Very well organised and plenty of marshalls, beautiful route. It was better than ever!

Less hilly than previous years so an easier route. Nicer weather and easier route made it a less challenging route but still very enjoyable. Mince pies and mulled wine were very welcome. Great organisation.

Had a brilliant day at Chilly Hilly. The weather was lovely, the atmosphere was warm and upbeat, and everything felt really well organised from start to finish. The mince pies were a lovely touch, and the scarf medals are such a great idea.

The crowd support was fantastic too, loads of friendly and encouraging faces all the way round, and the runners themselves were brilliant. A really well-run event and one I’d happily recommend.

It wasn’t clear that registration at 10am wasn’t followed immediately by the race. Minor point but all geared u to run.

Fantastic marshalls. Very well organised, check in, tables, markers timers. Just excellent. Only very minor point would be the pre run brief was very difficult to hear.

I wouldn’t say it is beginner friendly as it’s a long way. Maybe a junior 10k event would broaden the age and level of competitors and inspire young people. However I understand this would also cause a burden for manning costs on the day. I am content with its layout just a suggestion.

My 2nd time running this wonderful race - ok, so I wasn’t thinking it was wonderful halfway up Tennyson down as the wind tried to push me back down again - but that’s half the fun right! Marshalls are exceptional, the route is simply stunning and the sense of achievement having finished is second to none. I will be back!

Loved how friendly the marshals were but did feel a tad under pressure when the back runners caught us up and were over taking us. They were lovely girls but perhaps ask the tail runners to give the runners at the back a bit of space as it made us feel pressured so we bailed early on as it put us off.

My only criticism is that the start time was not made clear. Registration opening was very clearly 10:00 but I don’t think the 12:00 start time was publicised sufficiently.

The only thing was just that It would be helpful if a start time / cut off time for registration was made available to participants before hand as we sat waiting for 90 mins post-registration which meant it had been a long while since eating and the cafe wasn’t selling food or many hot drinks. I also had gone into the centre the day before to clarify start time and was told by the person at the desk they weren’t sure but thought it was highly unlikely it would start as late as 12 with a 10am registration.

This was the first Chilly Hilly that I can remember that had clear skies and the views were amazing. The new course was as challenging as the old one, but with even better views.
